Learn More About A Peculiar Galexy

A Peculiar Galexy was born from the creative mind of Alexandra Nachman. The word galaxy is intentionally misspelled. Turns out the word galaxy has Alex in it. G-Alex-Y. How much more perfect could that be for someone who has fallen in love with galaxies and all things astronomy?

In addition to astronomy resources and video tutorials for image processing, this site also will include programming resources as well! This site is dedicated to everything that Alexandra has learned about image processing with professional data from NASA missions as well as the science and computer programming skills she picked up along the way.

  

Fun fact: Peculiar Galexy is a play on the phrase peculiar galaxy — these are galaxies that have interesting shapes and are often merging galaxies. With galaxy being misspelled, that certainly makes it peculiar! Peculiar galaxies are Alexandra's favorite type of galaxy!
